We are seeking an experienced Senior WordPress Developer to join our team and lead the development of sophisticated WordPress solutions. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership abilities to deliver high-quality, scalable WordPress implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop custom WordPress themes and plugins using modern development practices and tools
• Lead technical planning and implementation of complex WordPress projects, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across multiple projects
• Perform code reviews and establish coding standards to maintain high-quality deliverables
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize existing WordPress implementations
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver successful solutions
• Stay current with WordPress core updates, best practices, and emerging technologies

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional WordPress development experience
• Expert knowledge of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Extensive experience with WordPress core, theme development, and plugin architecture
• Strong understanding of WordPress hooks, filters, and actions
• Proficiency in developing custom plugins and implementing complex WordPress customizations
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and modern development workflows
• Strong knowledge of WordPress security best practices and performance optimization
• Experience with REST API implementation and headless WordPress architectures
• Solid understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Experience with build tools (npm, Webpack, Gulp) and CSS preprocessors (SASS/LESS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js)
• Knowledge of WooCommerce development and customization
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
• Experience with Docker and containerization
• Contributions to WordPress core or popular plugins/themes
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and performance optimization techniques
